"Freshman Day - 2016" took place at the Theater Square. It was attended by VyatSU students and teachers, as well as College and Lyceum of Innovative Education. The participants of the ceremony were congratulated by the acting Governor Igor Vasiliev, acting rector of VyatSU Valentin Pugach, and other honored guests.
Valentin Pugach said to this year freshmen:
Today we all have a very important day: we move on to the next important life period. This year for the first time in its history our University arranged a combined admission to the united University – the largest University of the region, one of the largest universities of Volga Federal district.
This year we have formulated our mission: to create the intellectual elite of the region. We really count on you because you are considered to be the future brainpower of Kirov region.
I want to wish you the most important thing: be active. We are ready to provide a huge range of possibilities for you! The possibility to study, the opportunity to acquire good knowledge, the possibility to do science that is useful both at work, or can be the basis of your own business.
And also the opportunity to make friends, play sports, participate in interesting cultural events.
We need your activity and the desire to become smarter, stronger, more experienced and more successful in life!
