Competitions of young scientists became the most significant events of the last week.
The International Project Science Slam, recognized in Russia and abroad, attracted attention of the organizers not accidentally: the event format gives an opportunity to the interested persons to talk about their own scientific research in a short and entertaining manner.
The winner is selected by a sound level meter (a gadget fixing strength of audience applause).
The unusual event was organized by the Department of Scientific Research for Students and Student Scientific Society of VyatSU and aroused interest of many students.
About 100 people took part in the scientific battle. Among the participants there are master students of the Institute of Chemistry and Ecology: Alex Sykchin (with "Supercapacitor"), Michael Vokhmyanin (with "Protection bottle"), Anastasia Shabardina and Nikita Mamontov (with reflective spray Moon). Master student of the Institute of Biology and Biotechnology Vladislav Belozyorov presented a report "Nanopincers”.
The performances are characterized by relevance of the chosen themes and creative approach, original ways of presentation, and non-boring look at serious problems.
The audience applauded loudly to every speaker at the contest. As a result, "Smart windows” presentation of Polina Kovalenko, a student of the Institute of Chemistry and Ecology, was recognized the best one. She received the main prize - a pair of boxing gloves.
The Head of the Department of Scientific Research for Students Olga Tulyakova prized the participants and promised the battle to be continued on interuniversity stage of Science Slam.
