Institute of Mathematics and Information Systems

The Institute of Mathematics and Information Systems is the largest school of engineering and fundamental science education in the field of mathematics, physics, computer science and telecommunications in Kirov region. By its capabilities and potential the Institute is comparable to IT-, Physics and Mathematics Faculties of any neighboring regional universities. More than 2000 students study at the Institute at the moment.

The Institute has two faculties that run 11 departments in total. Our faculties are proud of their history: the Faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering was created in 1962; and the training of physics and mathematics teachers began in 1918.
