The Department of Engineering Graphics is a general technical department; it is a part of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the Polytechnic Institute of Vyatka State University. The department conducts effective educational, methodical, research and educational work.
The Department of Engineering graphics is engaged in the geometro-graphic training of technical directions students (bachelor and specialty) in following disciplines:
"Descriptive geometry", "Engineering geometry", "Engineering graphics", "Engineering and computer graphics", "Perspective", "Geometric modeling", "Topographic drawing", "Land Use Drawing", "Machine-Building Drawing".
In different years, the heads of the Department of Engineering Graphics (previously The Department of Descriptive Geometry and Drawing) were:
Klyuchareva Valentina Nikolaevna - from 1963 to 1964;
Cantor Rafail Borisovich - from 1964 to 1974;
Pritchin Anatoly Feodosievich - from 1974 to 1975;
Kuznetsov George Pavlovich - from 1975 to 2010;
Nagovitsyn Yuri Nikolayevich - from 2010 to 2014.
At present, Elena Georgievna Buravleva performs the duties of the head of the Department.
