The Competition in a single rope technique or SRT means that an athlete overcomes a vertical ascending section moving on a rope as a single linear support. This rope is the only thing that keeps the caver at height, so SRT is very demanding to conditions and ways of hitching.
VyatSU tourist club leader Ivan Sabantsev (an engineer of TiD Department) participated in the Competition together with VyatSU student Anton Minin (group INB-41). They both performed in a group of juniors born in 1998 and earlier.
As a result Ivan Sabantsev managed to overcome a route without any penalty points in 8 min 45 sec and took the 2nd place. Anton Minin also got no penalty and took the 3d place with 9 min 50 sec.
