In 2002 the Faculty of Biology was established at Vyatka State University.
In 2016 the Faculty was transformed into the Institute of Biology and Biotechnology and today trains specialists in the following areas:
• 06.03.01 "Biology" (Unified State Exam: mathematics, Russian language, biology)
Profiles:
- Microbiology
- Biology
• 19.03.01 "Biotechnology" (Unified State Exam: mathematics, Russian language, biology)
Profiles:
- Food Biotechnology
- Pharmaceutical Biotechnology
Studying period - 4 years.
After successful completion of the bachelor's level there is a possibility to continue studying for getting the master's degree.
• 44.03.05 "Pedagogical education" (Unified State Exam: mathematics, Russian language, social studies)
Profile:
- Biology. Chemistry
Studying period - 5 years. After successful completion of the bachelor's level there is a possibility to continue studying for getting the master's degree.
Everybody having completed secondary education can apply for the studying.
Applicants are enrolled by the results of three examinations (Unified State Exam).
All admitted students are provided by every available social guarantee:
• Academic scholarship for good and excellent students (only for budgetary financed students)
• Social scholarships for needy students
• Accommodation at Student Houses for budgetary financed students (non-locals only)
• Transferring by achievement’s results from paid studying form to the budgetary financing (in case of availability)
• Military service deferment for the whole period of study
