VyatSU students Elsaid Babiker, Khaidar Khalil, Nurzhanov Islomzhon, Binaeva Dildora and Bozorov Dovujon traveled to Moscow for the Interregional Forum of Foreign Students of Russian Universities “Build Your Career”. The forum was held from 21 to 23 September at PFUR.

In total, more than 500 foreign graduates of Russian universities and more than 20 partner companies, as well as the Russian Ministry of Education and Science and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, took part in the forum.

Students participated in master classes from Yandex, OPPO, Teleperformance and other large companies and learned about employment opportunities for foreigners at booth sessions. They also talked to RUDN University graduates who have been successfully working in Russia for many years, and received a lot of useful advice and acquaintances.

One of these acquaintances, perhaps, will become significant: our students talked with the head of the "Build your career" project Issa Shaabo, who is also the First Deputy President of the Association of Foreign Students (AIS) of Russia.

On September 19, foreign students of VyatSU, VyatGATU and Kirov State Medical University discussed the opening of the Kirov branch of the AIS. During the voting, it was decided to create its own branch (up to this point, the AIS were intrauniversity). Khaidar Khalil, a master's student of Vyatka State University, studying in the direction of mechanical engineering, was chosen as the chairman of the branch of the Kirov region.

"This will help us in the adaptation of foreign students, solving their problems. And we will also have a federal status: the opportunity to travel to AIS events of the all-Russian level and organize our own" - Khaidar Khalil.

The Kirov branch of the Association of Foreign Students will become an organization uniting all students who come to study at Kirov universities from other countries. At the moment, it remains to solve formal issues, complete paperwork and select representatives from universities. A trip to Moscow and a meeting with the leadership of AIS Russia accelerated this process.

"The management and the asset of AIS Russia liked our idea, they are ready to help in opening their branch in Kirov" – commented the undergraduate Dildora Binaeva, who is actively involved in organizing events for foreign students.

"By the way, not only foreigners, but all students can join the AIS - just like our association based on Vyatka State University. We often collaborate with International Relations students and linguists. In general, there are active people everywhere. We are open to everyone."

According to the website of the World Association of Higher Education Alumni, the Association of Foreign Students in Russia has been registered since 1996. It exists as a self-governing organization created for the legal and social protection of foreign students, raising their intellectual and cultural level, helping to organize the educational process, life and leisure.
