The leading telecommunications operator in Russia MTS announces the launch of "MTS Laboratory" at Vyatka State University
The educational platform will be used for practical classes of students of the Faculty of Automation and Computer Science for working with modern telecom equipment, as well as for conducting master classes with experts of digital technologies and telecom market. The opening of "MTS Laboratory" took place within an agreement between MTS and Vyatka State University.
Within the cooperation, the parties plan their joint work on development of educational, scientific, innovation and research activities, upgrading professional level of young specialists in the telecommunications industry of Kirov region, and including students and graduates in MTS personnel reserve.
One of the key areas of cooperation is launching of MTS Laboratory, a hardware complex that allows students to study the structure of broadband Internet access and data transmission, master their skills on fixed and mobile communication equipment of a new generation.
The issue of digital economy development is now among the top state priorities. Our regional task is to promote the development and intensify a penetration of new technologies into different spheres of society and the national economy. It is necessary not only from a technical point of view, it is also important to train the human resources systematically, in particular, on practical classes directly in telecom industry using actual equipment.
It all will allow forming professional future human recourses of competent specialists in the region,

This is our first suchlike project, which allows VyatSU students to study operations of telecommunications equipment on working network of the operator, as well as to test the most advanced technologies being implemented today. We are grateful to MTS for offering high-tech equipment, which will be used by students of the Faculty of Automation and Computer Science. The University is open for cooperation and welcomes any initiative and participation of business in raising professional training of students. This will provide the district with highly professional personnel in the telecom industry, and will also strengthen the status of Kirov region as a platform for the development and innovations. Besides, our students will receive additional benefits and will be more competitive after finishing the university, - Vyatka State University Rector Valentin Pugach said.
