VyatSU teachers of the Faculty of Philology and Media Communications, associate professors of Department of the Russian language, culture of speech and methods of teaching Antonina Bochkareva and Antonina Stepanova analyzed the subject "Culture of speech: orthoepic norms of the language and accent" together with the students.
These interesting classes gathered together 156 listeners. One could see young participants - students from 14 years old as well as grownups among the listeners. The oldest participant of the project appeared to be Ludmila Sarafannikova, 78. Foreign students showed great interest to the classes as well.
We just saw an ad at the University and came,— says a student from China Yao Chunjun. — I will attend these classes in the future together with my friends because we’ve got great interest to the Russian language and literature.
One room was too small to accommodate everyone, so the classes carried out simultaneously in two rooms. Everyone worked with practical material that was given at the entrance before classes. Pronunciation of some words became a discovery for some students, so the audience started a lively discussion and asked the teachers many questions.
After the lesson, all participants had an opportunity to register for the next class.
The project "Lessons of the Russian language and literature" is a joint project of VyatSU and a newspaper "Pro GOROD". Among other partners: the Regional Library named after Herzen and the Palace of Youth. All classes within the project are free of charge.
