On the eve of Teacher's Day the students and lecturers of the Faculty of Linguistics organized a festive event dedicated to the translation.
How nice it is to be fluent in foreign languages, to know, for example, that "pozor" is in the Czech language means "attention" and "ovoce" is actually not a vegetable, but "fruit"!
So, Kirov schoolchildren, students, lecturers from VyatSU, teachers from the USA, Germany, France, Italy, China, Indonesia spoke English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese and, of course, Russian.
The honored guests of the events were presented by heads of educational institutions specializing in in-depth study of foreign languages, members of the Indian delegation, A.Makarov - Chairman of the Regional Translators Community, V.Yungblyud - President of VyatSU, and M.Isupov - acting Minister of Education of Kirov region.
Foreign representatives spoke about their native countries, cultures, and languages. Students sang songs, delivered rap, danced and tested foreign languages level of schoolchildren. And the first year students made an Oath of Translator.
During this event the winners of the Regional Translation Contest "Translator of 2017" were awarded as well.
