A bilateral cooperation agreement on formation of the Governor's staff reserve was signed between the Regional Government and VyatSU on September 5th.
During his first visit to VyatSU in August, 2016 an acting Governor Igor Vasiliev underlined the importance of cooperation between the Government of Kirov region and the Basic University (VyatSU). The Head of the region clearly pointed the importance of interaction and development. Today it all moves from words to deeds, the process has started.
So, on September the 5th the Government and Vyatka State University signed the first important agreement. VyatSU was entrusted with the mission of creating the Governor's staff reserve, in order to improve the region management efficiency.

Young ambitious people who want to achieve great results in the public service should come to work to regional management. The Basic University is obviously selected for coordination of this work, since its main task is to train personnel for Kirov region, including management.
Valentin Pugach, acting Rector of VyatSU:
I am very pleased that our University and the Government have moved from words to deeds so rapidly. Just a week ago there was a talk about joint work of the University and the regional Government for creation of its personnel reserve, and today we’ve already signed the agreement. We will face a lot of systematic work on selection of candidates, testing both relevant professional knowledge, and personal, business and communication skills that are necessary to work in the regional and municipal authorities. I am proud of the fact that our University was entrusted this important mission. But I must admit that it is a big responsibility too. Anyway I am sure that the University will manage it.
How it will work
From now on Vyatka State University is a kind of a center to form the personnel potential of the region. Information about the personnel reserve will be available to students, university graduates, postgraduates, participants of the Presidential program, enterprises of the real sector of the economy, employees of the municipal governments.
An expert group of the University teachers, representatives of Administration of Kirov Region Government and employers of the region is being created on the base of VyatSU.
Information on the procedures for selection of candidates will be opened to the general public. Moreover, the experts will work individually with each category of potential candidates.
It should be mentioned as well that young specialists, master’s degree students, working postgraduates and members of the Presidential program have the opportunity to test their professional potential.
