On the Day of Russian Science, the University summed up the scientific activities of students.
Scientific battles, anti-conferences, quick "scientific" dates, scientific stand-up and even "Scientific Halloween" with stories about the most terrible scientific experiments have long become popular and sought-after events at Vyatka State University. A few years ago, the leadership of the university changed the approaches to the research work of students, and as a result, there has been a significant increase in the interest of students in scientific activities, and already from the first year.
"Over the past year alone, about 3,000 students from Vyatka State University took part in various forms of research. Therefore, today the key tasks are to maintain the achieved level of involvement and think about how to organize the research activities of such a large number of students" - said Anna Chikisheva, Head of the Department of Postgraduate Studies, Doctoral Studies and Research and Development at Vyatka State University.
The range of projects implemented in the largest university in the Kirov region is extremely wide, one of the most popular is "Inscience". For project participants - students, graduate students and teachers - lectures, excursions to the laboratories of Vyatka State University are held. Great interest is largely ensured by the format of information presentation: briefly, concisely, relevant.
The university daily processes students' requests for the selection of scientific supervisors, consults and provides assistance on any issues of participation in research work. In the last six months alone, 10 conferences have been held, at which nearly 1,000 students have spoken.
"Our task is to make scientific activity perceived at our university as a norm of behavior. I am convinced that science at a university is a necessary part of every student's life, a natural part of daily activity" - summed up Anna Chikisheva.
