They presented the current model of an animatronic robot "Parrot".
Last Saturday the 1st regional contest and festival “Bionic” for young researchers and inventors was held at the Palace of Creativity “Memorial”; it was aimed at stimulating the development of intellectual and creative potential of children through research and inventions.
The contest "Bionic" provides an opportunity for realization ideas, prompted by nature. It is about studying the adaptation of living organisms to existence in various habitats and designing their own inventions or models to be presented during competitions.
The competition was attended by school children of 2-5 grades, as well as students of institutions of additional education of our town and region. VyatSU Center for Robotics and Mechatronics presented five projects, highly appreciated by experts; and the animatronic robot "Parrot" was recognized the best among them. Its authors are Yakov Koryakin and Ilya Abramov (both 3rd formers) from the group "Fundamentals of Robotics" of VyatSU Center for Robotics and Mechatronic. Thus, they were recognized the winners of the contest.
Within the festival a demonstration platform "Dancing robots show" from the Center of Robotics and Mechatronics of Vyatka State University was also organized, and that aroused great interest of all the visitors.
